Aimee ParduhnAimee Parduhn

Billing Specialist

A native of Oakfield, WI Aimee grew up surrounded by family members who, although none had any formal medical training, were very knowledgeable when it came to natural cures, herbs, and cooking with whole foods fresh from the garden.  Aimee's lifelong interest in cooking and wellness, along with her love of nature, was sparked at an early age by her grandmother, who was always quick to offer a remedy or concoct a homemade tonic or tea to ease any ailment.

Following her passion for health and wellness Aimee moved to Chicago in 2004 to attend the Chicago School of Massage Therapy. Although massage school affirmed her desire to learn more about health and healing, she realized that her interests were leading her down a different path towards a more spiritual, less clinical type of healing. To support her exploration of this facet of integrative wellness she has been studying yoga and nutrition on her own and has taken several meditation courses at InVision, a Chicago-based center providing training to develop inner sight and intuition.

Prior to joining the team at the Raby Institute for Integrative Medicine, Aimee held a position as a Chiropractic Assistant and Office Manager of Knecht Chiropractic Clinic. While at Knecht she honed her ability to efficiently manage a high volume clinic while providing exceptional patient service.  In addition to providing personal assistance to the doctors on staff, Aimee's areas of responsibility also included insurance billing, front desk support, and assisting with physical therapies such as physiotherapies and core strengthening therapies.

Aimee first heard about the Raby Institute from a friend while she was looking for a primary care physician who would be open to alternative care. Shortly after hearing about the office she noticed they were hiring and, eager to expand her knowledge about integrative healthcare, decided to apply for a position on staff.  As soon as she met Dr. Raby and other members of the team she felt welcomed and could tell it would be a nurturing environment in which she could learn and grow. She is very excited to be a part of such a wonderful practice as the Raby Institute.  Her previous work experience and training prepared her well to be an engaged, responsible and enthusiastic team member.  Each time she is able to facilitate a patient's care she feels rewarded knowing that she has played an important role in their healing process.

In her free time Aimee enjoys exploring the city on her bike, camping in Wisconsin, and attending summer music concerts at Millennium Park.  You can also find Aimee spending quiet time meditating and relaxing at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool near the Lincoln Park Zoo. She is currently exploring interests in furthering her education in psychology and nutrition.

Yin and Yang
A seed sprouts from the earth and grows toward the sky - yang. Reaching its full height, it weakens and falls to the earth – yin.
