 In keeping with ancient Chinese Medicine traditions, Michelle Goebel-Angel, LAc, MSOM, MBA,  is committed to encouraging authentic health by providing treatments that help the body  naturally re-balance and heal itself. Her understanding of and passion for living in harmony  with nature constitutes a strong seasonal health approach to her work and uniquely defines  her style. Common Chinese Medicine modalities used for treatment may include  Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal prescriptions, Eastern nutritional counseling, Tuina (Therapeutic  Massage), Guasha, Cupping, Moxibustion, Auricular Therapy, Magnets and Electro-  stimulation. Michelle also uses Young Living essential oils to enrich her treatments and is  becoming certified in Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture.


Michelle's enthusiasm and warm connection with patients builds rapport and a trusting patient-practitioner relationship. She encourages patient involvement and education to promote the empowerment, ownership and motivation needed to make healthy lifestyle choices. She believes healing begins with a conscious, mindful effort, as well as patients taking control of and responsibility for their own healing.


Over the last three years, Michelle has interned at one of the largest free clinics of acupuncture and oriental medicine in the United States. Patients presented with a variety of Western pathologies. These included autoimmune diseases, fertility concerns, emotional imbalances, obesity, insomnia, IBS, cancer, seasonal allergies, pain management and several others.


She earned a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine combined with a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL. She also holds a BA in Psychology from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. Her combined background in psychology, business, oriental medicine and eastern nutrition has created an awareness and sensitivity to individual physical and emotional wellness.


Prior to joining The Raby Institute, Michelle found success as a corporate trainer, recruiter and educator at DeVry University for six years. During that time, she realized her dream to work in an integrative medicine environment and a career change was necessary to follow that path. She is thrilled to pursue her passion and continue her journey at The Raby Institute.


She is a member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the Illinois Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine.
