Billing Specialist

Laurel was born and raised in Alabama into a family passionate about different aspects of medicine. Her father was a Medical Director in Psychology and her mother worked in Medical Billing at the same hospital.  Laurel and her family moved to Chicago twenty years ago when her father took a role at a local hospital.  During this transition, Laurel's mother began her medical billing company while Laurel was in grade school. Laurel's daily chore became folding statements, so she could go ride her bike with friends. Laurel began working with her mother at a young age and has stayed in the field ever since. It was only natural that Laurel, join the family business and start AEM five years ago.

Laurel enjoys interacting and working with patients to help them understand every aspect of their medical bill and insurance benefits. Laurel believes clarity and understanding for patients is an important part of the total patient experience at the Raby Institute.  Laurel has supported Integrative Medicine practices, since the start of her career working with Insurance companies in the progression of Alternative Medicine .  Laurel looks forward to supporting the patients of the Raby Institute and answering any questions she can to make medical billing a clear and easy process.
