Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture is your healthy option for looking and feeling younger. Cosmetic Acupuncture is the only whole health option for cosmetic improvements currently available to women and men. It is the “true anti-aging medicine”. Though the procedure is not well known or publicized in the United States, it has been used for centuries in China by Emperors and the wealthy.

Preparation for treatment sessions

One to two weeks prior:
  • 30-minute consult with Michelle Goebel-Angel, L.Ac.
  • Take Arnica orally to help minimize bruising or bleeding. This should be continued for the duration of the treatment sessions. You can purchase this from Alma.
  • Prior to beginning, our licensed acupuncturist will discuss and confirm with Dr Raby any adjustments in medications that may contribute to bruising or bleeding. For example, eliminating fish/krill oils, Vitamin E, aspirin, or other blood thinners will be considered.

Day of treatment:

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing that can easily expose arms, legs and abdominal areas. Gowns will be provided if need be.
  • Do no wear make-up. If this is not possible, washing face beforehand will be available.
  • Eat an apple before each treatment session, this will help to minimize bruising -- and it’s a healthy snack that’s great for your skin.
  • Drink plenty of water
  • One hour before: no hot shower, hot tub, sauna, etc.
  • Do no wear sunscreen before the treatment. Apply it after treatments.

Future Instructions:

  • To maintain good results, we recommend two treatments at least every three months. Minimally, two treatments every six months. Getting one treatment each month would yield the best results or consider having the 10 treatment protocol once each year.
  • Continue to take any Chinese herbs prescribed – most like you will be on great blood or yin tonics to help enhance the treatment.
