Michelle Rogers, ND, MSNaturopathic Medicine, Functional Medicine, Integrative Oncology, Integrative Internal Medicine
With a sense of fun and professionalism, Naturopathic Practitioner Michelle Rogers, ND, MS, builds the kind of open, trusting, and collaborative patient-physician relationship that is essential to healthcare. A self-professed "medical detective," Ms. Rogers takes the time to learn about patients' lives, work, families, relationships, diet, sleep, exercise, and environment. In addition to taking their medical history, she believes it is essential to understand patients as people in order to treat them as unique individuals.
Michelle Rogers has been practicing Naturopathic medicine for eight years in large clinics throughout Illinois, Alaska, Oregon, and New Hampshire. She came to the Northwestern family of hospitals in Chicago in 2003, serving on staffs of both Children's Memorial Hospital and the Center for Integrative Medicine at Northwestern, where she worked with Dr. Raby.
At the Raby Institute, she works side by side with Dr. Raby and other staff physicians to refine nutrition and supplement plans for both oncology and internal medicine patients. Given her specialization in oncology, Michelle Rogers devises plans that can alleviate the side-effects of cancer treatment and contribute to prevention. Ms. Rogers will also have the opportunity to conduct original research in her field as the primary research developer and grant writer on staff at the Raby Institute.
Michelle Rogers earned her BS in General Science at Portland State University and received her medical training in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle. She also holds a Masters of Science in Evaluative Clinical Sciences from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. She completed her residency in integrative oncology at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois.
She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the Association of Naturopathic Physicians in Illinois. She is frequently invited to present her clinical and research findings at seminars and national conferences, and will soon be pursuing her PhD in Health Policy and Administration.
