Oil of the Month: Grounding
(September 2011)
Grounding: Blend of spruce, white fur, ylang ylang, pine, cedarwood, angelica & juniper
Our oil of the month is one that creates a feeling of solidarity and balance. It stabilizes and grounds us in order to cope constructively with reality.
Application:

Dilute 1 part essential oil to 1 part vegetable oil. Possible sun/skin sensitivity.

Diffuse, directly inhale, or add 2-4 drops to bath water. Apply 1 to 2 drops behind ears, on wrists, base of neck, temples or base of spine. Put 4-8 drops on cotton ball and locate on vents.
Grounding Ingredients:

Spruce: Helps to open and release emotional blocks, creating a feeling of balance and grounding.

White Fir: Creates feeling of grounding, anchoring and empowerment.

Ylang Ylang: Increases relaxation; balances male and female energies. It also restores confidence and equilibrium.

Pine: Helps reduce stress, relieve anxiety and energizes entire body.

Cedarwood: High in sesquiterpenes, which can stimulate the limbic part of the brain – the center of emotions and memory.

Angelica: Helps to bring memories back to the point of origin before trauma or anger was experienced, helping us to release negative feelings.

Juniper: Elevates spiritual awareness creating feelings of love and peace.
