How we live and what we eat affects our health in every way. If we don’t get enough sleep, we move less, if we skip meals we may crave sweets and then not sleep as well, if we don’t eat enough fiber it changes our microorganism and can make us absorb more fat or crave more sweets. Everything is connected. In this 6-week program we work together as a group to master the basics of diet and life style. Throughout the course of the program patients will start to identify how diet and life style affect their symptoms, and start to see changes in those symptoms including weight, energy, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and pain.
Weekly lectures by Dr. Katherine Chavez, ND are determined by the needs and questions of the group. In the past these have included, sleep, stress, neurotransmitters, sex hormones, microbiome, glycemic index of foods, exercise, and food sensitivities. Dr. Theri Griego-Raby will be present and participating answering questions each week for items that come up with participants.
