Emily Skryzypczak - Raby InstituteEmily Skrzypczak is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse working in ICU and post-anesthesia care settings.

While working as a nurse, Emily was concerned with her patients continued care. This concern encouraged her to further her education and career into primary care where she would become a more integral part of preventive medicine. After graduating magna cum laude from Chamberlain University, Emily began her career as a nurse practitioner with Raby Institute for Integrative Medicine.  Emily states “as a nurse practitioner, it is very fulfilling to not only follow; but be a part of a patient's journey to better health and wellness". In addition, she has found an even  greater satisfaction in delivering a more holistic approach to healthcare to her patients.

Integrative medicine has been a personal interest for Emily, who has an enthusiastic desire to learn about natural and alternative therapies for treatment of chronic and acute illness. She believes that successful treatment not only addresses symptoms, but equally acknowledges the importance of identifying root cause. This approach includes addressing nutritional deficiencies, digestive dysregulation, immune function and oxidative stress.

Her clinical interests include working with mood disorders, particularly examining the gut-brain relationship, and helping patients navigate healing of the mind, body and soul. Her personal philosophy to practice is to be "an approachable and reliable patient advocate, empowering patients to feel confident and secure in their pursuit of wellness and longevity".

Emily lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Mike and her golden retriever, Lucy. In her free time she is an avid equestrian and yogi. She is excited to be part of Chicago's premier center for integrative medicine and to continue to learn how to provide the latest evidence-based holistic approach to patient care.
