New Partner In Health Fitness Coach Ivana Zekovic-Irick

"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver."
-Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement (1869-1948)

"He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything."
-Thomas Carlyle, Scottish philosopher, writer, teacher (1795-1881)

The Raby Institute welcomes a new partner in health this fall: Alternative Health and Fitness Coach Ivana Zekovic-Irick. "My philosophy is about helping you find yourself in fitness," she says.

Ivana is an internationally recognized alternative health and fitness expert. She was born and raised in Belgrade, in the former Yugoslavia, where she became an Olympic-caliber rhythmic gymnast. After moving to the United States and earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Hawaii, Ivana channeled her passion for health and human behavior into a nearly 20-year career as a personal and group fitness coach.

"Iva is great," says Raby Institute Billing Specialist Aimee Parduhn, one of a dozen Raby Institute employees who has been taking weekly classes with Ivana since April. "She's very firm but gentle, with a good sense of humor. She makes it fun."

Aimee had never worked out before. So when Ivana partnered with Raby Institute Founder Theri Griego Raby, MD, ABIHM, to make classes available to employees, Aimee signed up.

"I wanted to build core strength to help my lower back," Aimee says. "I've definitely noticed a difference." She hasn't experienced any lowerback issues since starting the class and has even had to buy new clothes since going down a size.

Other Raby Institute employees have seen similar results. But it's nothing new to Ivana, who has coached hundreds of people across Europe, the U.S. mainland, and Hawaii. She holds active certifications in several fitness styles including A.C.E. and A.F.A.A. Personal Training, Stott Pilates Training, PhysicalMindPilates, Gyrotonics, Yoga, TRX Suspension Training, Fitness, and Dance.

Her unique holistic method of health coaching is designed to uncover a customized set of variables that will enable you to find yourself in fitness. Integrating psychology, nutrition, and physical training, Ivana uses an intuitive approach to unlock your full potential. Customized fitness routines are rooted in Pilates but pull from a diverse and challenging set of fitness philosophies catered to your individual goals, interests, and needs.
