Dermatologist Technician

Job Description:
A Dermatology Technician/Medical Assistant works closely with providers in the dermatology practice,
lab and medical assistants to ensure the floor flows properly and that all patients receive high-quality
and timely care, comfort and safety. The individual will complete basic procedures as requested by the
providers and will assist providers with procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all tasks below are run efficiently and with true care for the patient
• General rooming and setup of patient within exam rooms
• Prepare the patient for procedures and dermatology related appointments including aesthetic
  and lasers
• Assist with charting and noting of patient appointments
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all time
• Works with Dermatology MD providers and other employees to help resolve patient issues as
  necessary
• Triage and/or respond to patient inquiries

Requirements:

• 1-2 years minimum of experience in general office practice either as a MA or CDT
• Computer competence: ECW (preferred) or other EMR experience 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• High degree of responsibility, discretion and integrity relative to the acquisition and
  dissemination of highly confidential information

Certifications/Licenses:

• Certified Dermatology Technician OR Dermatology Medical Assistant
