How we live and what we eat affects our health in every way. If we don’t get enough sleep, we move less, if we skip meals we may crave sweets and then not sleep as well, if we don’t eat enough fiber it changes our microorganism and can make us absorb more fat or crave more sweets. Everything is connected.
In this 6-week program we work together as a group to master the basics of diet and lifestyle. Throughout the course of the program patients will start to identify how diet and lifestyle affect their symptoms, and start to see changes in those symptoms including weight, energy, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and pain.
Weekly online lectures by Dr. Katherine Chavez, ND and Dr. Theri Griego Raby, MD will include how gluten and wheat affect your health and metabolism; neurotransmitters and how they affect your mood, sleep, and even food cravings; the microbiome and how it affects your metabolism and health; we will also discuss immune function during the current pandemic and the winter. We will also have tips for healthy recipes during the holidays, how to indulge but not fall too far off track.
Dr. Theri Griego-Raby and Dr. Chavez will both be online to answer individual questions and provide insights into the presented topic.
